Selling Sunset has returned for its ninth season, and the drama is at an all-time high. The new season dropped on Netflix on Wednesday, October 29th, and saw the girls—along with twin bosses Jason and Brett—back at The Oppenheim Group to sell more jaw-dropping luxury real estate.
As always, the drama was non-stop. While some of the tension had been simmering for several seasons, there was also plenty of fresh conflict to unpack. So, who’s actually friends on Selling Sunset these days? Here’s a breakdown of all the Selling Sunset feuds and complicated relationships.
Emma vs. Chrishell
The most shocking friendship breakup to emerge from the show has to be Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan.
While the duo appear to be good in the new episodes, it has since emerged that they're currently feuding because of Emma's new boyfriend, Blake Davis, who Chrishell doesn't like.
Chelsea vs. Mary
Chelsea Lazkani and Mary Bonnet had a few tense moments in season eight, after Mary mentioned to Jason and Brett at an open house that Chelsea’s outfit—a blazer and matching shorts—wasn’t "professional." Although the comment caused some friction, it seemed to be their only real issue at the time.
However, things appeared to escalate in season nine. After Mary's house was broken into, Chelsea sent her flowers as a gesture of support. But Mary didn't think it was genuine and asked Bre Tiesi to throw them in the bin, believing Chelsea had only sent them to be filmed for the show.
Mary later brought this up at a dinner party and all hell broke loose as Chelsea hit back: "You're here saying that I did it for the cameras. What do you think I need camera time for? Bitch, they'll get my face regardless. I don't need fucking camera time."
In the finale, Mary became emotional when she arrived at Bre’s party and saw Chelsea’s name card at the table, hinting that their tension hadn’t been fully resolved.
Mary does follow Chelsea on Instagram though, but Chelsea doesn't follow her back. So, it's not looking good for these two.
Chrishell vs. Mary
Following the season 9 premiere, Mary sat down with Us Weekly to chat through the drama with Chelsea, explaining that she become emotional over seeing Chelsea’s namecard at Bre’s party for a reason. “At Bre [Tiesi]’s party, I wasn’t just emotional,” she said. “There were some things from after the dinner that happened that I didn’t want to put myself in a situation where I’m in danger.”
In response, Chrishell fired back with a pointed Instagram Story, where she wrote, “I was there for all the on-camera and off-camera moments. You were never in danger, girl. Alluding that you ever were [in danger] regarding Chelsea is really dangerous rhetoric. Do BETTER.”
Chelsea vs. Bre
Chelsea and Bre have been at odds ever since Bre joined the show in 2023 for its sixth season. Chelsea wasn’t a fan of Bre’s unconventional relationship with comedian and rapper Nick Cannon. (For context, Cannon has 12 children with six different women, including Bre, with whom he shares their three-year-old son, Legendary.) And Chelsea made her disapproval clear, sparking tension between the two.
Although they managed to remain civil for a while, things came to a head when Bre brought a rumor to the cameras about Chelsea’s husband allegedly cheating. Chelsea claims Bre deliberately introduced the rumor on the show to "ruin" her, while Bre insists she was merely repeating information Chelsea already knew and felt needed to be addressed.
After the situation with Chelsea's marriage, Emma and Chrishell sided with Chelsea, putting an end to their friendship with Bre. However since season nine, Bre has revealed that she and Emma are friends again.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan UK, she said: "We've worked it out, we're cool now. I think seeing the season you can see how things transpired and I hate to say, I told you so, but I told you so. And I think she's [Emma] realized that as much as she wanted to have her friend's back, she didn't really have hers."
Bre vs. Chrishell
While Bre and Emma have made up, the same can't be said for Chrishell and Bre. Asked who she's friends with, Bre told Cosmo UK: "I'm actually friends with everybody except for two people—Chrishell and Chelsea."
And that was made clear at the Selling Sunset premiere party, which (according to TMZ) Bre planned and invited everyone except Chrishell and Chelsea.
Chrishell vs. Nicole
These two haven't liked each other since season six when Chrishell accused Nicole Young of being on drugs during the company trip.
And in season nine, things only got worse during Amanza’s Girlsgiving dinner. As Chrishell and Nicole went back and forth at the table, Amanza tried to diffuse the situation, telling Nicole to stop talking. Nicole then questioned why Amanza didn’t have the same energy toward Chrishell, at which point, Amanza told Chrishell that it was "fucked up" of her to accuse Nicole of being on drugs.
Chrishell then fired back: "Even if it's true?" causing Nicole to say: "Honey, you're confusing me with your parents, okay?"
The comment led to Nicole getting fired from The Oppenheim Group, and it looks like apart from Mary, she's not really talking to any of the girls at the brokerage.
Amanza vs. Nicole
Amanza has revealed that she and Nicole aren't in a good place after season nine.
Speaking to Cosmo UK ahead of season, she said: "I've seen her [Nicole]. I saw her at Jason and Brett's birthday party and like I didn't see her at first. I was saying hi to someone and she was sitting right here and I was kind of like, 'Oh, hi' and it was an awkward sort of encounter, but we talked for a few seconds."
She continued: "And then I saw her two other times at events and we didn't speak. I sent her a long voice memo probably three days ago, just trying to say, 'Let's like squash this' and I never heard back from her, so I don't know."
Amanza vs. Chrishell
In another surprising turn of events, Chrishell and Amanza are also not on good terms after season nine.
Asked who she talks to, Amanza told Cosmo UK: "I mean I'm actual friends with... I want to say everyone, but just right now there's a little bit of shakiness between a couple of us. Nicole being one, that's just an unresolved thing. But we were such good friends before and I've known Nicole for so long, I can't imagine... It won't be on my part if this was to go on for the rest of our lives and just not be friends ever again. I can't imagine that happening."
On her recent rift with Chrishell, she continued: "I went into the reunion cool with everyone but Nicole and then left the reunion also now maybe in a little bit of a scramble with Chrishell... That wasn't supposed to go that way."
Speaking of which...
